Getting Facebook Ads Approved

FBad-not-approved

Writing is everything with FaceBook ads. Facebook reads your copy and makes sure it doesn’t violate the following:

  • Your ad wasn’t approved because it promises specific, unrealistic results or false outcomes, such as “Lose 25 lbs in 25 days,” “Earn $200,000 in a year,” or otherwise misleads people into clicking or signing up for a service.
  • Ads for “work from home”, get rich quick and other inaccurate money-making opportunities that offer compensation for little or no investment aren’t allowed on Facebook. This includes pyramid schemes or other money-making business models which do not fully explain any product or opportunity that makes a claim of income.

What you can do:

Phrases to avoid in your Ad copy:
• $5,000 per sale
• Make Money
• Profit Online
• Done-For-You
• Create Cash, etc

It’s best to write Ad copy based around the benefits your offer can provide, or posing the copy as a story:
“Learn how I used my laptop to escape 9-5 and work from anywhere!”
“You need customers to your website now! Learn how I get 25 new customers per day!”

Landing Pages:
This not only applies to your Ad on Facebook, but to your landing page as well. Always send your clicks to a landing page. If your online offer is a make money opportunity, you won’t be able to send clicks from Facebook to your affiliate link because it is already banned.

Make sure your landing page copy follows the same rules as the ad:

It’s best to write landing page copy based around the benefits your offer can provide, or posing the copy as a story:
“Learn how I used my laptop to escape 9-5 and work from anywhere!”
“You need customers to your website now! Learn how I get 25 new customers per day!”

Videos:
As far as I can tell, embedded videos are free game for the moment. I’ve embedded videos in my landing page with money opps in the description and the title, and it has been allowed so far… but just wait.

Your Domain Name:
People might overlook the fact that Facebook also looks at your domain name, and checks to see that the actual URL of your landing page is not based on any of the banned words or phrases.

URL Examples:
Instead of:  www.makefastcashwithjoe.com
Use: www.growwithjoeonline.com

Instead of: www.growwithjoeonline.com/makemoneysystem
Use: www.growwithjoeonline.com/gurusystem

Fan Page Name
Facebook even slaps you for having a fan page named with any of the taboo words. So, you can’t do a promoted post from a fan page like mine called /myonlineprofitplan. It doesn’t like the word profit! Lame.

Ad Image:
Finally, the Ad image can’t have a fake video play button, a fake cursor arrow, or consist of more than 30% text in the image area. And if you try adding the words “Make Money” into your image, it would also be rejected, because Facebook sees all!

Thanks for tge post Gary. Now I can see why Facebook approved some ads that I know are make money online. I have not used Facebook ppv because they reject every ad I try but armed with this knowledge I might give it another go
